History and Philosophy

The company was established by Günther Arp in the early 70th. When his son Hans-Werner joined the company it was renamed into Guenther Arp & Son KG.

Hans Werner Arp studied business administration in Kiel. In 1990 he passed an examination as master furrier in Munich.
His studies included a pattern designer course with Ernst Röhrs.

"Roomy is not always convenient. Custom fitted and tailored is comfortable and underlines a good build (brings the figure to the ideal expression) . This goal can only be achieved by bespoke work and accurate design of an individual basic pattern. Fur and leather is something very precious and after all the skin of creatures. Therefore we should deal with it very respectfully.

It feels good to use and wear this wonderful natural material. In many cases it would be a waste not to do.

It is not a question whether we use the natural resources and assert ourselves in nature against other species like all other mammals have to. It is all about the question of how we do it. "(Quote Hans Werner Arp)

The time of selling off the shelf is over. Prefabricated we carry in the first place only fur blanket and accessories such as collars, scarves, capes, bags of cowhide .

A small collection of jackets and coats on display is primarily meant as suggestion and a demonstration of possible bespoke clothing.

Once a year on the last weekend of October there will be a fashion weekend which will be announced well in advance.
